BA 3XE - Website Development for Business

3 credits Now, more than ever, an online presence is crucial for exposure, credibility and dissemination of information for both Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer organizations.  This course will provide an overview of the elements of web technologies and show how they fit in with other digital marketing elements including SEO, UI/UX, Social Media and Mobile Apps.  The primary focus of the course is how to create and deploy a website.  The course will start with the foundational elements of all sites: HTML and CSS, and will then show students how to create a website using WordPress.  The course will emphasize good design practice and User Experience along with the mechanics of creating a site.  By the end of the course, students will have created their own WordPress website. (Formerly BA3XE.) Prerequisite: BA 206 or SM 321.
