BA 223 - Project Management

3 credits Organizational growth is fueled by the seamless execution of a series of projects and milestones. The ability to deliver projects on time and within budget is dependent upon the knowledge and skills of the project manager. This course will explore the challenges of project management.  Students will examine project planning including initiating a project, defining project goals, determining project scope, creating a work-breakdown schedule, identifying project resources and mitigating risk. The class will survey tools and techniques used to create and manage complex project plans. Additional topics will include managing budgets, communicating with stakeholders, managing adversity, and creating effective teams. Prerequisite: BA 101
