Application Requirements

Applications will be accepted for Fall and Spring semesters. Applicants must submit:

  1. Mount Ida College Graduate Program Application Form
  2. Official transcript(s) (minimum GPA 3.0)
  3. Resume
  4. Two letters of reference (one preferably from a supervisor of a recent professional position and one from an individual familiar with the applicant’s academic ability)
  5. An essay addressing professional interests and career goals
  6. Submission of a portfolio or samples of professional work for the Interior Architecture concentration is recommended.

The Admissions Committee will review applications and qualified applicants may be interviewed prior to an admission decision.

Admissions Process


The Admissions Committee will include the Program Coordinators or designees, and the Associate Vice President for Enrollment or designee. Admissions decisions will be processed by the Office of Admissions.

Applications to the Graduate Program are reviewed on a rolling basis, with entry points to the program in Fall and Spring.  Full-time Graduate students are admitted for fall semester only; part-time students may begin in either of the entry points.

Students accepted into the program will receive notification by letter from the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions. An enrollment confirmation form must be completed to confirm enrollment.
